Right back at ya, sister! π
Right back at ya, sister! π
Sorry you couldn't make it. There were some really special moments.
Just back from Colorado, where I spoke at the inaugural Womenβs Winter Conference in Estes Parkβsuch an inspiring event! Spent time with family in Vail, got in a few ski days, and just enjoyed the mountains.
Caught this fleeting light in Rocky Mountain NPβbarely in time!
How do you like BlueSky?
Never tire of that view. β€οΈ
Thank you, Dan! Iβm still getting used to this and occasionally missing thingsβlike your mention hereβbut Iβll get the hang of this new platform soon.
Thank you, Sherri! It was a pleasure to meet you, see your incredible work, and hear your stories. I hadnβt been familiar with your work before, and I was absolutely blown away by it. You are a treasure!
During a quick stop in Yosemite Valley, a passing snowstorm dusted fresh spring greens in whiteβa fleeting study in contrasts. Tender oak leaves, full of new life, stood against the stark granite cliffs, ancient and unmoving. A moment where seasons collidedβsoft and strong, fleeting and timeless.
I have seven pieces (including this one) in a new exhibit, "Winter Rune: The Poetry of Light", at the Ansel Adams Gallery. If you are in Yosemite Valley, be sure to stop by and take in the exhibit. It runs from now until March 1, 2025. There's no snow here right now, but it sure is cold!!!
I knew what you meant, lol!
I find that a minute is about the right exposure for this type of shot too. Nicely done!
Very nice! How long of an exposure did you use, @sophiecarr.bsky.social ?
Ok, let give this BlueSky thing a go. Here is Jackson Lake in Tetons National Park bathed in the pink hues of sunrise, as seen from my vantage point atop the dam last summer. What do you think?
So much to learn! Thanks!
