I’ve been trying to write an application with the help of Tauri for two days. I read the official documentation, googled, communicated with ChatGPT, but I still couldn’t make the application work.

And today, in an hour of work, I did everything on Electron. Now I understand why people use it.

I haven’t drawn such buttons for a long time

5️⃣ Now, feedback actually helps improve my work. I know what to fix and how to make the design better. And most importantly—projects don’t get stuck in endless, chaotic discussions.

4️⃣ I tailor questions to each role:
🔹 Business: Does this design communicate the product’s value?
🔹 Marketing: Is the CTA noticeable enough?
🔹 Developers: Are there any technical issues?

This makes feedback clear and actionable.

3️⃣ I flag unfinished parts upfront. This way, I don’t get feedback on things I already plan to change. Sometimes, clients even suggest better directions before I spend time polishing the wrong thing.

2️⃣ Now, I provide context before showing my work. What problem are we solving? What effect do we want? If I have multiple options, I explain my reasoning and highlight my preferred one. This keeps feedback focused and avoids unnecessary questions.

1️⃣ I used to ask for feedback like this: send a mockup and ask, “What do you think?” In return, I’d get tons of scattered comments—contradictory, nitpicky, and often useless. I had no idea what to do with them, and projects stalled. So, I changed my approach.

Oh, Come On, Just Do the Task At work, I assign tasks not only to designers but also to developers, researchers, and analysts. Naturally, I always want my tasks to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible

On the one hand, I realise that for AI, the interface is not the most important thing, but geez.

Why don't AI developers think about the interface and how people will work with the system's responses?

Where's the chat navigation, the ability to mark something, highlight it for the future?

I have 3 paper notebooks, 3 note applications, 2 task books and a several Google spreadsheets. Not that this is the minimum necessary, but it somehow helps me to do and keep my focus on what is important.

The sun was shown today

It creates an illusion of work. Such changes can easily consume half or even my entire workday. In the end, I worked, but there’s no result from my work; instead, I “helped” others. So, why do we need someone as smart as me? I might as well focus on my own work, like replying to emails.

There’s a lack of trust in the designer as a professional. This can lead to a decrease in motivation for the person. Why bother doing anything if someone will just come in and mess it up anyway?

Moving buttons is not my job. There’s a designer for that, who can handle this task better. They will notice that if they move the button a bit, they’ll also need to shift another element. If changes need to be made, I inform the designer.
