It doesn’t matter whether the rate of global warming is increasing. It’ll never cease to amaze me that people don’t care that it’s happening at all. It should be the most alarming thing ever.

A collaboration between TTC + Bike Share Toronto would offer a great option during subway closures on Bloor-Danforth. Instead, @ttcriders.bsky.social suffer the indignity of being crammed into shuttle buses stuck behind single-occupant cars. There must be a better way! #onpoli @mayoroliviachow.ca

Motorists should celebrate transit users -- without them, driving would become almost impossible. Yet, in Toronto, as elsewhere, avid motorists often oppose transit improvements such as busways.
“The more people ride in street cars the more space it leaves for me.”
Does Donald Trump write Doug Ford's script, or vice versa.
Ford called Toronto's city council "the most dysfunctional political arena in the entire country" when asked about the report and blamed "radical left" councillors for the city's problems.

To this point, the big snowfall was almost a month ago now, and many bike lanes are unusable with huge piles of snow in them. We're firmly into neglected infrastructure territory now. If Toronto really wants to be world class for sustainability and scalability, we need to do better. #BikeTO #TOpoli
"Bike lanes, like roads, sidewalks and mass transit, are integral elements of our transportation system. When these investments are buried under snow, Torontonians are shortchanged."

T.O. residents shouldn’t worry about the slow pace of snow clearing. After all, the city appears to have adopted a sure-fire method to clear our clogged streets.

East bound bike lane covered in snow, east of Christie Pits. The photo shows a cyclist riding amidst cars because the blocked bike lane.
The section between Bathurst and Christie, save for the blocks that we cleared on Feb 14, is still impassable on Day 23 after the snow storm. Today's thaw is now likely to do the work.
Three week after the big snowstorm & there are still some bike lanes that were blocked including parts of Bloor in Koreatown! Today, I helped Albert & @bikewaysto.bsky.social clear the bike lane before doing errands in the area. #BikeTO #TOpoli #VikingBiking www.twowheeledpolitics.ca/2026/02/tcbc...
Since I had some errands to do in the Annex anyway, I helped @bikewaysto.bsky.social clear the Bloor bike lane from Markham to Euclid. Hope the City gets the rest of the bike lane in Koreatown cleared ASAP! #BikeTO #TOpoli #VikingBiking
Casual pelotons will cycle across the City of Hamilton Friday morning to celebrate the joy of winter riding, and highlight the need for year-round road infrastructure maintenance.

You can't prove received wisdom wrong if you don't try... and you've got to give China credit for not being afraid to try. A step on the way to serious reduction of shipping emissions by 2050? Or an expensive experiment with niche coastal uses? Time will tell!
