project updates:
OUTFALL → i ended up scrapping the very first section and adding in a new chapter at the beginning
SWBB (wip) → first draft done at an absurd wc, so i'm letting it sit before going back to revise
TPD (new wip!) → outlined, so i'll start the first draft this month ;-)
keeping busy!

against all odds, i finished my first draft last week. admittedly it took until saturday evening... LOL
this week, i want to explore another wip idea & do another batch of queries (since i took a bit of a break) !!

it's actually such a problem... fighting against my brain fr 🫠 LOL

i have this problem where i'm ~70% done with a project/wip/etc and then get an idea for something else, which of course my brain believes is sooo much better and more interesting (╥﹏╥) be quiet brain! let me work in peace! we'll get to that other thing later!

i've been in denial, but there’s no way i'm finishing my draft LOL skimming through it rn and there a lot more holes and missing scenes than i realized... might actually end up being my goal for next week :'-) still making decent progress though!

if it wasn't obvious this also applies to writing. in fact i think the concept of "you'll probably hate your first draft" might be essential to writing alongside the concept of a piece never being "finished"

it's always so interesting to see how much things change compared to the very first draft!! whenever i read through mine, it's such a mixed bag of feelings

dare i say to finish my wip's first draft...? sure! we aim high! :-D
also—quest pit!! made my things ahead of time to spare myself the stress, and i'm looking forward to seeing other people's posts and getting motivated + inspired by everyone
