The Tories oversaw the degradation of UK gas storage capacity - 2010 to 2017.
Thatcher privatised the gas and oil industry - 1982 to 1986.
Thatcher closed the collieries - 1986 to 1991.
This woman is an idiot - 1960 to 2026
Ed Miliband, famously closing coal mines as a 14-year-old minister in Thatcher's government during the miners' strike
This may be the most unhelpful framing I've ever seen of a war. The UK is not a child, Trump is not - despite Mark Rutte's comment - daddy, and the decision to risk British lives and spend British money fighting a war without clear legality or aims is not an issue of the UK "behaving" for the US.
βBut surely..β I hear you say, βno government would be this detached from reality?β
And my reply would be it isnβt just Uk GOV. UK Opposition parties, other countries.. all up to necks in AI woo

I wish Iceland well on this.
One day, we will get a chance to right a lie that caused a huge wrong.
Cancel the April state visit to the US.
A state visit from our King should not be given to someone who repeatedly insults our country.
The Conservatives promised new hospitals and never even had a plan to fund them. Labour has now pushed those plans decades into the future. Meanwhile patients in Winchester are still waiting for basic repairs to the hospital they rely on today.

We are resetting our relationship with the EU, our closest and largest trading partner, to make trade easier and cheaper, and deliver tangible benefits for British businesses. We are talking about real businesses, real employers: the Somerset cheesemaker with export trade halved, the Welsh shellfish trader turning down orders because their catch isnβt fresh by the time the paperwork is done, the Scottish farmer who can no longer sell seed potatoes to customers theyβve supplied for decades. Emma Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs.
By reducing delays and unnecessary paperwork, this deal will help keep shelves stocked, protect jobs and put downward pressure on food price inflation for families across the country. British businesses deserve better and we will work hand-in-hand with them to ensure this deal is a success. Emma Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
The EU is the largest single market in the world, and it was a disastrous decision for our economy to ever leave it. Polling by Opinium on behalf of European Movement UK has found that 75% of British adults, who felt Brexit had been harmful to the UK, favour joining single market to lower taxes.

Nor should we be seen to support an illegal war.
Adequate news.
Good would be βweβre binning our daft red lines and are going to rejoinβ
And the City suffered massively too.
