The image is a recruitment flyer for a research study - the wording states: Participants Needed. Are you a parent or caregiver of an autistic child aged 8-18? Do you have views about their screen use? Complete a short survey to help us understand more about the role of media in their lives. It will take less than 20 minutes and your answers will be anonymous. You can also provide your email address to be entered into a competition to win one of ten Amazon vouchers (closing date 30th April). There is a QR code to follow, and the researcher's email address is also given.
My friend is currently recruiting for her PhD - if you are a parent / guardian / caregiver of an autistic young person (aged 8-18) and have views on their screen use, please consider taking part in this short survey.

Happy Weird Pride Day 2026 to all the fellow weirdos who celebrate!
tomorrow is weird pride (3/4)
i will celebrate by monologuing about my plants and awkwardly turning down invites (of any kind)
i will also be checking out what my colleagues and friends are sharing!
Iranian authorities and Red Crescent Society officials report that more than 100 people, most of them girls, were killed at a primary school during joint U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.
Letβs be clear: Slaughtering children in a school is an atrocity and a war crime.

Well, colour me shocked.
300.
This is an action aimed at 300 people.
This just highlights how vulnerable the transgender community really isβand how monstrous these policies attacking them really are.
Itβs exactly how the Nazis targeted Jews. Exactly.
Weird Pride is a practice of becoming. A refusal to shrink. A quiet, feral devotion to staying alive as ourselves in a world that keeps trying to make us something else

Author @suereviews.bsky.social recently joined @coolcatteacher.bsky.social on Cool Cat Teacher Talk to discuss the neurodiversity paradigm, the double empathy problem, and practical classroom strategies from her new co-authored book 'It Takes All Kinds of Minds.'

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.
This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.
I'm not a historian. But I can think of no precedent in modern Britain for what is being done to trans people. The media, public institutions, Government and (too often) the judiciary are combining to attack or exclude a marginalized group and its allies - with really no significant demurral.
Humiliated in the media, denied healthcare, attacked by the human rights watchdog, shut out by the Supreme Court, bullied by social services and the police, disadvantaged in the jobs market, death figures covered up by the State, harassment de facto legalised, and attackers deified by Ministers.
I joined @coolcatteacher.bsky.social on Cool Cat Teacher Talk to discuss neurodiversity in the classroom β the double empathy problem, monotropism, and why designing for the edges benefits every student. Listen here: www.coolcatteacher.com/neurodiverse...

One in five kids. One in three teachers w/ the wrong assumption.
This week on Cool Cat Teacher Talk, @suereviews.bsky.social and @socialcipher.bsky.social gave amazing insight β the double empathy problem, the quiet room that works because it exists, and the power of one student finding their voice.
Screenshot of a pair of Bluesky posts. The top one says βwe need to come up with a new name for the elite because they sure as hell arenβtβ. The lower post has an image of a bird and says βI see that youβve been promoted to chief executive shitfuckβ
Love it when you get a pair of posts that go together like this.

ALL YOUR PINK PLASTIC LAWN FLAMINGOS ARE BELONG TO US.
Starmer, sprinting, arms above his head like flailing Kermit, bouncing off unions and schoolchildren and trans people and refugee like an old Transit with the handbrake off.
Cancer research costs too much but we have the money to run Venezuela
Graphic with text at the top stating Autism Books by Autistic Authors. Published December 2025. In the centre is a collage of book covers, tilted on an angle. Each book is listed in detail in the subsequent graphics and text. At the bottom is the text The Autism Books by Autistic Authors Project @AutisticBooks. In the bottom corner is a small logo with colourful books and a small plant either side.
It was a quiet month, but these are the books about autism or with Autistic main characters, written by Autistic authors that were published in December 2025!
Here's to hoping 2026 is much better for everyone on a personal and global level.

Great presentation from @suereviews.bsky.social So many autistic children in my city have had very little education provision, and yet, sometimes when I tell people, the reaction is "that's sad" or "that's frustrating", like it's unfortunate but what can you do?
