Okay, but WHY do I have to price my own art if I want to attempt to sell it. Itβs much, much harder than the actual making of said art.
There was one point when I was standing outside. In the 20 degree sunshine. In January. With The Sound of Silence running through my head.
About two weeks ago, it hit 20c. Which is 68F. In January. In ALBERTA.
Itβs more pleasant than -30c/-22f. But what the actual fuck.

I use mine more for things like roasting veggies or making things crispy or crunchy! Of course, I got mine in part because my place gets nigh unliveabley hot during parts of the summer, and the idea of turning on the stove or oven becomes impossible.

Thank you! And yeah, the first time I kept stepping and frowning and muttering βwhat.β Iβm still a little confused! Iβm obviously a stronger painter with my dominant hand, but - this could definitely be going worse???
Rough impressionistic acrylic landscape. Two small islands with conifers in a very blue lake, with a treed hill and mountain range behind them.
Rough impressionistic acrylic landscape. A stand of evergreens and conifers is reflected in a barely-there lake. Behind them are foothills and a mountain range.
Rough impressionistic acrylic landscape. Two mountain ranges converge around a lake, and there are dramatic clouds in the sky.
My dominant hand continues to be a literal pain, so I decided to try painting with my left. The first time was mostly for shits and giggles. But now it is - going surprisingly well?
I missed that this was already going around this year (itβs sure been some kind of year, hasnβt it?). But if anyone has some extra love rattling around, my thread at the holiday love meme is here!

Just going to wave vaguely at the Everything Everywhere at the moment
So glad you finally made it back safe!
Huh!
β¦ wait, can most people not tell when something is using alternative sweeteners
The majority of people I know who dislike stevia have similar taste reactions to it - somewhere between sucking on a penny and weird vegetative off-ness - as opposed to the people who just find it intensely sweet!
I suspect we will find out thereβs a gene variant involved in stevia taste perception, similar to with cilantro.
(I might have to keep an eye out for if itβs involved in migraine triggers, hmm)
Stevia tastes like drinking bog water out of an aluminum can. Makes everything itβs in inedible. And because itβs technically a natural sweetener, they donβt even WARN you about it, unlike βartificialβ sweeteners.
I mean, to be fair, 2020 has yet to release its hold on us
Artists! Quote with your yellow art!
Maybe a potato crust for a quiche? Aloo paratha? Samosas? Thereβs a huge range of Thai and Indian curries you can put them in, and they usually freeze really well!
If theyβre waxy potatoes, I love pan fried shredded hashbrowns! Grate with a box grater, use your hands to squeeze out as much liquid as possible, and throw into a very hot pan with oil or butter. Season as desired. Iβll often do onions and or peppers at the same time, and an egg makes a meal.
Welp, thatβs todayβs reminder about how time works
I do not have a sweet treat to reward myself with for climbing a mountain, and I am disappointed in me
Yay!!!
I definitely had a long, drawn out moment of confusion before it clicked lol

Sometimes I forget you werenβt always from Ontario.
