Update on Boucher & Pitches Strategy last night at Council.

We don't have to pit music & sport against each other. As Greens we successfully argued for a deferral to give everyone a few weeks to get this right.

The bigger political parties are failing to deliver up Stormont & need a distraction.

Belfast City Council supported a Green Party Proposal to defer the Boucher Playing Fields decision and pitches strategy for a month. We need time to get right.

It has also formally agreed to suspend use on Twitter/X as it a threat to women and girls.

I voted in favour at the second vote, as it included getting a report back on a new potential site. Was being pragmatic and not to cut my nose off to spite my face.

I voted for the Alliance proposal first to reject it, in order to get a ready made back up ready to go. Stop covering for Sinn Fein.
