I don’t want to try and say that you’re wrong for feeling this way and can understand being skeptical, but acting like this doesn’t help anyone. If you still feel like Shesez is a biggot and don’t believe he‘s being genuine about not knowing better, then I’ll stop trying to convince you otherwise.

The fact that there are people in Shesez’s life who do want to help him in a meaningful way and make him realize what he did wrong is a good sign.

Was his response questionable, most certainly. Does that mean people should go scorched Earth on him, I would certainly hope not.

If he says or does anything that would hurt minorities on purpose, then that should be the end of it, but I don’t want to see a situation go too far because of it.

I don’t know, from what I’ve seen of other “DEI bad” statements, it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from someone who hates minorities and doesn’t seem like he’s being ”bold” about it. He also doesn’t work for any big organization from what I see and don’t know if it’s him saving face.
