Really disturbing narrative that βweβ wouldnβt want to do these jobs. Consuming would get expensive. It points to an ongoing exploitative attitude and an extreme version of capitalism: accepting that people are working in horrendous conditions without pay so that we can consume products cheaply.
If this wasnβt so sad Iβd laugh π
To claim that the βrightβ have some sort of subjective hold on reality more so than the βleftβ and are advancing a righteous cause which justifies what is in reality censorship and violence is at best ignorant and lacking in self-awareness, and at worst malicious and harmful.

I find what this dude says really concerning. Any academic or scientist can bend research to suit their ideology - whether left or right. It requires scrupulous self-reflection and honesty with oneself first and foremost not to corrupt data to suit your narrativeβ¦
The word youβre looking for is authoritarianism
This article makes me realise that the public may not know about any of this stuff. Possibly naive of me, but having worked in homelessness for the last 4 years I take the knowledge of how messed up the whole system is for granted and shouldnβt.
And here it is. A populist having overestimated their own importance and influence in the public mind. Youβve committed a crime and youβre paying the price - system works as it ought to.
Iβll be curious to see if Le Pen can mobilise the public in light of her conviction. My guess is that she canβt. Populists tend to overestimate their own importance and presence in the public consciousness.
βA world of pervasive corporate power is characterised by low investment, low productivity, low wages and high inequalityβ
Yep, hits the nail on the head.

A theme throughout the day @pathwayuk.bsky.social #inclusionhealth2025 is the need for working within and between systems and good quality data re homelessness. I look forward to the day when recording housing status is just what we do.
And heβs likely to win this electionβ¦π
Not convinced by Mark Carney at all. Iβm not sure more of the same (furthering inequality) and degrading youth concern about climate change is the way forward.

every day we see more and more evidence of society descending into utter lawlessness and chaos
2/2 the reality is that the NHS has had to deal with constant change - largely because there is no cross-party agreement on how to run it. Obviously people will be wary of the next fad thatβll be introduced - seems like itβs AI - which will cure all its ills. It wonβt. Proper pay and conditions may.
Articles like these annoy me to no end - not because itβs untrue, but because of the lack of context and curiosity about how we got here. The NHS is relentlessly attacked in the press at the moment after being totally idealised during the pandemic. It hasnβt changed that much in reality 1/2

Bored of this man. However, responses to this post do not disappoint π€£
Yep, that didnβt help either π
Just to add: Iβm not for the permanent ban. But I also donβt want to forget what got us here in the first place: and that was in my mind questionable medical practices.
It depends on how you consider gender, sex, gender dysphoria, child and adolescent development (physical and psychological) and (possibly most importantly) prescription practices. And context of what happened at GIDS in the current sociopolitical landscape.
That isnβt entirely true. Hereβs a review that looks into this: accpjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
As ever, it is more complicated as stating a medication is safe or is not safe. The issue has been politicised to the extent where no reasonable debate seems possible anymore.
2/2 because this served the change in govβt and helped Labour get elected. The reality is that the NHS hasnβt changed during this time. Healthcare and the NHS is politicised and used and it is a choice to do so.
I notice how the media and public discourse about the NHS has changed in the last 2 years. During the pandemic, the NHS was idealised as being able to cope with anything. I think thatβs what govβt needed people to believe. Now itβs being denigrated as inefficient and useless 1/2
