Finished book 18 in 2026 (150/1000). This was still very enjoyable, but so far my at least favorite in the series. But yet again the ending caught me by a surprise, and I’m anxiously watching my Libby queue.

#ABirdFromTheLord
Today o spent 5 hours at a local bird wildlife refuge with a birding friend who knows. Everything.
I saw so many lifers today. But what tipped me to my goal of 50 species was the junco which I see dozens of times a day on my patio.
I really loved that it tipped me into my goal.

Finished book 17 in 2026 (149/1000). I did not expect to be swept away by this. Deeply emotional, and makes me want to read the Emily Wilson translation.

Get yourself a church where the pastor tells you to curl up and read a novel instead of attending service.

Finished book 16 in 2026 (147/1000). This was a very fast read. A mildly unsettling mystery that felt like long form creepypasta. Enjoyable but wouldn’t read it again.
