Oh Bear

I'm so terribly sorry

That's it. There's nothing I can say that will change anything or alter how you're feeling

Just remember, there's many people thinking of you

Take comfort from the random otters. You put them in the trolley for a reason even if you don't fully know why

Love xxxx

In Warwickshire, 18-year-old Reform councillor George Finch has become council leader after the Reform leader of just six weeks stood down over โ€œill healthโ€.

Cllr Finch is listed as an online tutor with the company โ€˜Superprofโ€™, charging ยฃ15 an hour for his education services. โ€œIโ€™m 18 turning 19, I have just finished A-Level and I know what you need to pass your exams, the Knowledge is [sic] the most important area of A-Level or GCSEโ€™s.โ€

โ€œ[I] specialise in Tudor History, Cold War, USA politics, UK politics and many other areas in history too,โ€ the profile adds.

The work is not listed on his council declaration of interests. It is possible he hasnโ€™t earned any money from it. If he has however, he may have broken the rules on failing to declare financial interests. (This outlet put the tutoring questions to Cllr Finch but has not yet received a reply).

Byline Times understands that Cllr Finch plans โ€“ or had planned โ€“ to return to university in the East Midlands in September for his second year of studies.

So it's confirmed. Teenager George Finch is now the permanent Reform leader of Warwickshire council. His predecessor stood down just weeks after winning power, supposedly over health issues.

I wrote a bit about him recently for @bylinetimes.bsky.social

God the tabloids and Brexit dinosaurs were boring todayโ€ฆ ๐Ÿฆ–

Braying the same โ€œbetrayalโ€ lines theyโ€™ve brayed since they got what they wantedโ€ฆ then found they had no benefits in it whatsoever.

Still they came out today to play victim yet again.

But the world has moved on.

Starmerโ€™s EU reset triggers outbreak of Brexit derangement syndrome | John Crace Critics were voicing their opinions long before even an outline of a deal was announced

You look at the Tories, Reform and the rightwing press after the Brexit reset and you see just how mad they are. Genuinely frothingly insane.
Desperate to insist that their Brexit moronathon is a win. Spitting with rage at their own failure.

This sums them upโ€ฆ

If you can give me a bit for the book, great. If not, no problem.

Young, stuck and shut out: a new EU deal could change that Even a capped, time-limited youth visa scheme would be of value to young people in the UK and EU

Young people are locked out of opportunities their older siblings took for granted. A UKโ€“EU youth visa deal could begin to change that.

Labour must avoid โ€˜naiveโ€™ lurch to right after Reform success, Haigh warns Exclusive: former transport minister criticises partyโ€™s direction and calls on Starmer to focus on issues like taxation and welfare reform

Starmer is barking up the wrong tree.

Among Labour 2024 voters, 43% said they would consider voting Green and 40% LibDem. Just 9% would consider voting Reform.

Labour should be setting the attack dogs on Farage, but it can't do that because it supports Brexit.

Reform is a Limited Company

Farage owns 53%

It was formed in 2019 to push for a โ€œno-deal Brexitโ€

It wants to reintroduce the Liz Truss budget

It wants to privatise the NHS

& invest in fossil fuels

Close the BBC

& break International law

Itโ€™s a scam
