The section on using a postal vote shows how little they know about it.
It says "use a pen if possible" but the voting form says you *must* use a black pen.
I take it they want you to post it asap in case Reform or their candidate do something stupid and you change your mind.
Whenever I see magnolias in bloom I always wonder why paint manufacturers call cream paint "Magnolia" because I've never seen a cream coloured magnolia.
Surely the same can be said of the logo idea? On R4 Today this morning an author said AI books in the style of a well known writer had been self-published to con their fans. If someone is dishonest enough to do that, they'll be dishonest enough to scan the logo off a book and add it to their cover.
I was in a local newspaper office a while ago when (I'll admit to my surprise) a fax started warbling. All the 20-somethings looked worried and asked "what's that noise?"
They kept a fax line active to a printer because they still had the odd advertiser who used faxes.
Perhaps they were confused because he should have said "was".
That's odd. I'm sure he said months ago that Iran's nuclear facilities had been destroyed.
Whichever bitcoin billionaire funded this latest Farage Freebie isn't getting his money's worth.
Farage and Lowe are both too leftie woke for Trump these days.
Sandflies live in deserts. There was an outbreak of sandfly fever on the Kent coast in the 70s but that was because sand used in building the Isle of Grain power station had been shipped directly from the Sahara. Luckily, a local GP had studied insect bourne diseases.
Is anyone asking real experts if these bombers visiting Fairford is unusual? I ask because we live near USAF bases at Mildenhall and Lakenheath and in times of tension you always see news reports of aircraft types landing as if it's unusual but they're either based there or regular visitors.
I can't visualise what stones would be because I've weighed myself in kg for decades but 220lb is an easy conversion to kg because 1kg is 2.2lb. So this guy was about 15kg heavier than me, if that helps.
What's even more stupid is the website says the story has been updated yet it still has the phrase "ยฃ200 wetsuit".
Judging MPs by their performance on X could make Farage our best MP. The people of Clacton should be proud. ๐คญ
Odd how no sooner does traitor Farage pop over for a chat with his demented hero than Trump is attacking the UK and Starmer. Trump's rant also seems to echo Farage's comments.
I find the UK right's grovelling to a delusional, demented, egotistic, tyrant, paedophile far more humiliating.
It was fortunate Biden saw sense because the Tories' only plan was to build 5,000 homes there with nothing to replace the thousands of civilian jobs lost. Even the Tory district council leader criticised the plan as merely creating a commuter dormitory for nearby Cambridge.
Hope our Government is making plans in case Trump decides he no longer needs UK bases.
Last time he was screwing up the world he decided he didn't need the USAF in-flight refuelling base at Mildenhall, in spite of US generals disagreeing. Luckily Biden listened to the military and cancelled closure.
And the only reason they entered WW2 in 1941 was because their inaction had led to Japan attacking them without declaring war.
You forgot to include delusional in your description of Trump.
Or we could save the money so if we can't find a house we like with solar and HP we can install it in one.
Oh, and who said we have an old expensive to run oil fired boiler?
Er, do you reckon you'll still be driving into your 90s? How would we get anywhere when it's 4mi to the bus stop?
According to the Renewable Energy Hub it costs ยฃ14k to install a heat pump so you've still got to find ยฃ6,500. When we looked at the cost of heat pump and solar we'd have had to live in a house 4mi from the nearest inadequate public transport until I was 90 to get back the cost, even with grants.
The usual reason people in his situation don't install heat pumps and solar panels is they can't afford it.
Yes, their excuse for taking a long time to lower their prices after the rates they buy at drop is always that the stocks they hold were bought at the old prices. They can't have it both ways.
Has anyone looked at whether their choice of nest materials makes a difference. All the ringed plover nests I've seen in the UK have been much better camouflaged.
On rural fuel costs, is LPG likely to be affected in the same way as oil?
We must also stop pegging wholesale electricity prices to the cost of gas powered generation when renewables are taking over. Consumers need to start seeing a financial benefit from the public investment in wind and solar.
The impact the Russian invasion of Ukraine had on our electricity prices because of how it affected gas imports should have been an alarm call for this to be changed, yet two Governments have failed to act.
Is that a real nest? Seems a bit odd that the bird would have assembled a collection of white stones that made its eggs show up more than the egg-coloured surrounding ground.
If Musk wants to go to Mars might it not be an idea if he stopped encasing the planet in his space junk?
