there is nothing the white-dominated music industry would love more than to make a minimally marketable approximation of Black music without involving any Black people in any way
… because you can’t use it critically for writing. it’s a wrong answers/plagiarism/does-the-work-for-you machine that compromises your learning and human expression. and even if it wasn’t those things, it’s fueled by an industry that is actively harming—even killing—people and the planet

Woke up with no clue where to go next in my WIP. Stared at a blank page for 2 hours. Then, cracked a story knot that has been plaguing me for the last YEAR (at least). Few hours later, I've got six pages of notes on where to go next, and I'm 1.5k words into a new chapter.

I'm intrigued by @buttondown.com, but seeing this on their Integrations page gave pause. 1. Why the unnecessary Tidal slam, my dudes? I use Tidal, and would love a newsletter software that allowed me to embed. And 2. The example doesn't even work right.
I may not be rich or powerful but at least I don't have an endless cacophony of ugliness raging inside my chest.
