I’m not talking about the goals being scored from corners. I’m talking about the defending, where Declan Rice (for example), repeatedly wrapping both his arms round an opponent to stop him moving is something that has become more blatant, and which for me should be penalised.

For me it's more about policy and narrative than personnel. Most people wouldn't know Morgan McSweeney from Adam. The Mandelson story is dreadful, but getting out of this hole is going to involve getting useful things done in places that matter - and not pandering to the bigoted right.
