Somehow I hadn't heard about this yet! Wow. Very cool. :)
A new Dev Diary for Secret Keep, my indie immersive sim game. Been working on lean, crouch, sound propagation & AI.

The AI & sensory system is very inspired by Thief: The Dark Project, so far!

This mission sounds mad! 8D
Thief is such a source of joy.
What an amazing game, that keeps on giving.
Still one of my biggest inspirations, for sure.
I hear ya Damon the Wizard. :D
I love the idea of taking all the prompts from inktober and having to weave them into a story thread... :)
I'd love to see all the comic pieces in order, even if they didn't make a complete story. :D Love seeing all the different panels!
Three figures stand in the foreground watching the approach of a sailing ship between looming arctic cliffs.

getting back to some inking after a busy patch.
I'll get to the end of this Mousey saga eventually.

Oh golly, what is this world we live in? I just... wish this sort of discourse didn't happen, for everyone's sake. Sorry that you have to hear it. But I also feel sorry for those people themselves, that their heads are full of these thoughts, and that they feel they need to inflict them onto others.
Very good, enjoyed the thread, and the further thoughts in the article, a lot!
A tricky topic indeed, I think it's one of those things where, if you're going to support and react to such things, it almost becomes the point of the game (due to the effort/dedication!)

Pleased to see they've released the new LUMBERJACK CLASS of adventurer, and that this intriguing new character was featured in the GCAP photos on their website. :)
Stuck in the office today.
Thanks buddy. :)
After one day with the Steam Deck, I can totally see my next Desktop Dev PC being SteamOS rather than a Windows 12!
If Valve makes an effort to make SteamOS a fully featured desktop OS that I can do Unity, Chrome, OBS, VLC, Reaper, and an image editor, we're GO! (It's basically all there now!)

@ironswan.bsky.social Loved the Darkest Dungeon 2 Procedural Generation talk! Thanks for all the work that went into it. :D
@colintowle.bsky.social Loved the Darkest Dungeon 2 Procedural Generation talk! Thanks for all the work that went into it. :D Good luck on your next project!
Haha! Sounds good.
I'll keep an eye out. :)
No worries if you didn't end up adding more to it, I liked what you included there in the talk a lot!
Just thought I'd ask, in case there was more. :)
All the best!
@harvey1966.bsky.social Hi Harvey! Great talk! I'd love to see any extra "Decision Rich Game Design" slides you have. :)
I'm currently wrestling with my im-sim game design, trying to bring together the high level world/narrative & low level mechanics... Craving wisdom! :D Thanks.
Ha! Looks awesome. Living in the future!
@carlaeng.bsky.social Thanks for the great GDC talk on "Ruthless Prioritization" ... love the Pre-Mortem tool! Bandersnatch was a great achievement. :D
Excellent talk, just watching now on YouTube... really loved it! :D Thanks for putting together a great talk.
Combat! One of the earliest smash hit games, what a classic! Happy to have this little unit from 1978 or so! #GameDev #Atari2600
A Wizard of Earthsea, 1971 edition. Spoilers in the blurb (but quite a nicely written blurb, I think!).
