Thanks very much for sharing these insights.
P.S. Loving Evelynโs Playground . For my golden retriever Lord Rodger we found a street called Rodger Driveโฆ While I canโt find the photo with that, I have found my next favourite. Me in background with him while Lucy is oblivious ๐ฆ
Just a great time for all the liberal justices to be spelling out how deferential we should be to legislative and executive branch assessments of "national security" interests even if they result in huge speech suppression.
Never, ever let anyone tell you that there is no "moderator's dilemma" in the U.S. because of Section 230.
Not when it took Vimeo SIXTEEN YEARS of litigation to defeat claims that ordinary content moderation created "knowledge" or "control," hence forfeiting the DMCA safe harbor for copyright.

Iโve been focusing on this issue for nearly 20 years. Trade secret law is blind to the publicโs interest in info, and thatโs a problem. If the reporter had contacted me, Iโd have focused him on that simple fact. It makes trade secret law the most powerful IP law for preventing info access.
P.S. in addition to adding @franklingraves.bsky.social , will need to consider a further starter pack or, like I thought of yesterday, maybe FollowFridays this year that are done in the form of Starter Packs and will likely include most people who have been helping rebuild the IP law community
Ah thanks very much for your comment and suggestion. Maybe you should do a guest article for said Kat publication ! ^G
P.S. @707kat.bsky.social youโll probably know many more great IP law professionals than me - tips on how to set up starter packs quickly via the foot of this article I wrote wardblawg.com/2024/11/16/b...
Youโre very welcome @707kat.bsky.social. You one of the OG Kats? 15 years ago Jeremy Phillips once kindly read my 10-part thesis on how to dominate the internet, provided some tips then kindly said he had lost the will to read any more of it as it needed more work. Candid feedback at its finest ๐ฑ
@marklemley.bsky.social okay Lemleyโs Law is now in Google and ChatGPT it would appear. At least from Scotland. Hopefully in CA too?! Best wishes, Gav
@patentbuddy.bsky.social thanks v much for sharing ๐
Thanks v much for your message. Youโre one of the AI / IP / IT law stars too. Received a very kind message from Fiona last week via LinkedIn. Worth reaching out too perhaps @lilianedwards.bsky.social
Would be great to find out - not sure who leads the IPKat since Jeremy retired
Both beautiful thank you. Have published a couple of (amateur) piano videos from home via @gavward.bsky.social just there if youโd like to listen.
Could you share a link to said YouTube video please? Bluesky is good for visibility in its algorithm this way...
P.S. Reed, @bringthehuman.bsky.social , donโt suppose you know anyone who could kindly set up an initial very short Wikipedia page to further share some of my work as a bit of a โlegacyโ please? Iโve been putting some good into the world recentlyโฆ wardblawg.com/best-legal-t... ๐ Gav
Thank you. I was trained under Scotlandโs Ally McBeal of IP Law, one of the 50 most powerful women in Scotland, Fiona Nicolson. This site has withered somewhat after 15 years but Bluesky and people like you are reinvigorating it ๐ ^G
I appreciate it! IP Blawg is awesome!
And, yes, Professor @lilianedwards.bsky.social has always been on it too ^
Just double-checking , so our IP & AI Law & Policy Starter Pack has always included the great @marklemley.bsky.social and have added @bringthehuman.bsky.social too thanks to recent conversation. Itโs at 150/150 now so youโll really need to impress to make it onto it ;-) go.bsky.app/5TsAHdR ^G โฆ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ฉโโ๏ธ
@coreycottrell.bsky.social think youโll enjoy this use of o1 ๐ฎ ^

Interesting debate happening here on Bluesky re fair use of AI generated material ๐ฟ
โฆour own personal views on this are contained somewhere within our 30,000 word Gav Ward Code thesis, which was helped by AI, and which has a set of 10 guiding principles.
At the very least, credit where credit due
