Watching βAbigailβ on Netflix - not sure itβs meant to be a comedy - but itβs making me chuckle

Hosting the Lensless & Lo-Fi Podcast and an incurable analogue dreamer. Posting photo and darkroom thoughts and images whilst avoiding political discussions best held elsewhere (read this last part before following me) Fenland is my home and muse.
Watching βAbigailβ on Netflix - not sure itβs meant to be a comedy - but itβs making me chuckle
Phone snaps of prints work just fine - itβs all I do these days
We wandered around the side streets of Hoi An with the Pentax 17 and made some #HalfFrameStories in the darkroom

Just purchased a few more for under Β£3 each - more expensive on Amazon so avoid that.
Oh I do but I deleted the news apps as they are nothing more than click bait - I listen to Americast podcast for news on American politics, a bit of the world service on the radio and read the independent newspaper which , though they hate Morrissey is still informative on a wider scale.
Make up is a lie - rich and melodious
Iβve used lots of different print developers over the years and canβt tell the difference - stick with something and learn it well, then creativity flows unshackled from the need to be constantly searching β¦β¦.
This for the Trump era β¦β¦

Yes but colour is parked for the moment - but Iβm waiting for Firstcall to add the Adox RA4 in 5x7 to their list of offerings - itβs in hand apparently
A word of wisdom from Mozβ¦..
βStop watching the news.
Because the news contrives to frighten you.
To make you feel small and alone.
To make you feel that your mind isn't your ownβ.
In the words of Morrissey
βStop watching the news
Because the news contrives to frighten you
To make you feel small and alone
To make you feel that your mind isn't your ownβ
These are lovely
In recent years Iβve settled on Bromophen for my print making. As it comes in powder form itβs cheaper to buy and ship compared to ready made 5litre developers. I mix it in a bucket and decant into a reusable home brew wine container. Keeps over a year with no deterioration.

12x16 is about the maximum I can easily print in the Fenland Darkroom - this set up works pretty well but if Iβm using FB paper then I squeeze in a second fixer tray where the initial wash/hold washer is sitting. I make up a couple of litres of Bromophen and that keeps well in a glass jar with gas.
Fortunately I have a nearly full pack of the glorious @ilfordphoto.com MGRC in 12x16 for the wall prints .
Over the last 6 months we have had two city breaks, one in Rome and earlier this year Paris.
On both trips I took my Rolleicord V with the express intention of making 12x16 wall prints.
Well that process begins with marking up candidton the contact sheets, all very methodical and somewhat mindful
Been slowly working my way through a pile of vinyl that I wasnβt sure I wanted to keep or if they had skips on them - so far this is a keeper, cleaned up well.
#Vinyl
It makes making 135 contact sheets so much easier and I love the process of loading it. For 120 I use a sheet of 4mm glass with edges rounded as they stay in their clear sleeves
Please do
Letβs schedule a video call when youβre free - Iβm retired too - Fridays and Mondays are usually clear.
Can use any video chat platform .
Yep I taught myself a few years back - happy to help and pass on my experience if you need help
After months of concentrating on RA4 darkroom work it feels good to be again thinking in shades of grey. Started with some more #HalfFrameStories from the mighty Pentax17
