Portland’s newest winger is good to go for Saturday #RCTID

It’s 2026. The World Cup is in North America. The top flight league has so drastically cut its own media presence and has a fully paywalled broadcast that’s effectively made it invisible to casual soccer fans. Second tier league is openly trying to bust a union.

And I should say: that’s success *this year*. This Thorns team should be competing for trophies this year. Anything less… then it’s all aboard the “YIKES” Express. #BAONPDX

I do think that Agoos has made some good moves as Thorns GM. But his call to fire Gale was big, his decision to not make a decision earlier in the e offseason was bigger, and hiring Vilahamn now is even bigger. A lot riding on the new gaffer’s success #BAONPDX

It’s kind of a bummer that Vilahamn comes in already under fire. He *could* be a good head coach for Portland, but the circumstances under which he comes into (justifiably!) means that any kind of “new coach goodwill” is already out the window. #BAONPDX

An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.

Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.

This is pure cruelty.
