An online conversation between a human and human pretending to be AI. The first human asks the AI-human to write a fanfic about Charlie Swan and Carlisle Cullen from Twilight. The AI-human replies that it sounds like a great story but it does not know who they are.

A strangely shaped cake
Just found this historic photo from CodeBase's first birthday party where someone made Argyle House out of cake lol
Who said I would engage!!!
Today has been really bad on the chronic pain front and I am grumpy, but cheered by my toddler who has taken on a Central Belt accent with certain words.
@tristangrayford.scot I can't believe you don't follow me on this account. This obviously should be your biggest priority this week.
I have participated in the Cheese Roll
Well that was a lot of notifications
Yes! I knew this but when was it called a "World War"?
Oh π
I'm going to research this but just wondering, when was it realised that WW1 was a "World War" and when was WW2 thought to be "another World War"?
Did not know it was World Book Day
Very very weird to be transcribing a diary from WW2 and answering enquiries about WW1 records and we are just...in a third World War
"Banana! Open it!"

Any recommendations for patterned compression gloves or knee braces? I got a lovely patterned wrist brace years ago but it was from Canada and took a long time to arrive. Back wearing my gloves and knee brace and they feel dull.
Is there any update on this?

Three elderly women divvying up a multipack of crisps. And they've each brought their own breakfast/snack bar boxes and are sharing the individual bars out. Variety for everyone.
I can't get over how perfectly this image encapsulates our current colonial museum moment. Tony Molelia wears a cotton smock so the cloak doesn't touch his skin. It's instead held in place by a museum curator. Descendants can get only so close to their heritage in a place controlled by preservation.
Episode 1 of this podcast I do with my wife about forgotten sci-fi books just dropped!
This ep we're looking at the famous Ursula Le Guin's somewhat less famous PLANET OF EXILE (1966)
Featuring the cruel mother earth, postcolonialism, and fewer yetis than you'd expect

You can see the family resemblance
I cannot even begin to describe how much of this week has involved a lot of tears (he's 2.5) and how difficult it has been to get him to sleep recently
Whatever happened today needs to be perfectly replicated because somehow my toddler took ten minutes to fall asleep and it is not even 8pm.
