I used to go quite a bit. I went to an away game once. A student I knew had a job on the local paper covering the team. I went with him on the team bus to Llansaintfraid (now TNS). He interviewed the manager on the way back through the gap between the seats (we sat in front of him)

Club soccer, for me, is always wanting to see the unusual. Leicester winning the league, Hollywood Wrexham, Jimmy Glass, now hopefully Hearts winning the title. I don't care about quality and skill, just crave the drama

When I was a kid, the big 5 was Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Spurs, and Man Utd. Will always like Utd. Will always loathe Liverpool. Usually want Arsenal to fail (unless they're beating Liverpool or City), and that leaves Spurs and Everton for this weird interest in rare victory and rare disaster

My interest in club soccer is only ever adjacent to fandom, but I am always vaguely interested in extremities of Spurs. When they're at the top, I kind of want them to win the league. When they're struggling, I kind of want them to go down. When they're neither, I don't really mind.
