Was thinking the same about Benicassim festival this year!
Agatha Christieβs Poirot is always on our minds π₯°
Captain James T Kirk saying "Don't tell me, Tuesday"
Happy Trek Tuesday!
BIGFOOT was a real celeb in the 1970s. But arguably, nothing catapulted Bigfoot into the mainstream more than the two occasions when the Bionic Man fought him (he was a robot created by aliens to scare humans away from their mountain base!)
The Bionic Bigfoot became a highly sought-after toy...
Is it just me or do shut down pubs always look really sad? Even the ones that were absolute shitholes when they were open

Didn't call it the great rock 'n roll swindle for nothing!
At least he's a honest twat. He never really shies away from it. @richiesombrero.bsky.social and I were chatting about this earlier in the week. PiL are/were a great band.
Kurt Vonnegut tells his wife he's going out to buy an envelope: "Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man. You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet? And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope. I meet a lot of people. And see some great looking babies. And a fire engine goes by. And I give them the thumbs up. And I'll ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is β we're here on Earth to fart around And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And it's like we're not supposed to dance at all anymore."
Kurt Vonnegut man
It is definitely unique. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it really wormed its way into my brain. The hold music track it reminds me of is called 'Opus One' by Tim Carleton - apparently he made it on a 4-track when he was 16! Some of the melodies also remind me of 'Abduction' era Eat Static.
On the headphones now (thanks to @mike-j-d.bsky.social for the heads up):

Oh man, you're in for a treat. It's an eponymous album that come out last year that musically sits somewhere between Tangerine Dream's 'Ricochet', the OST of 1991's 'Point Break' and that one piece of call waiting music that everyone kinda likes. Great, great record!
This is such a great record. I was surprised how listenable it was after reading the synopsis. Might stick it on again later if I can snap myself out of my Total Blue obsession.
I want my government to be boring and competent enough so that I donβt have to think about it every goddamn minute.
One of the best live bands I've ever seen. You can hear how much they enjoy playing together on every record.
Man Vs Bee was about incel behaviour.
