I can relate to that. I now preemptively take ibuprofen before gigs to help my back out..
Hope it gets better.

Another really relaxing thing this weekend is that I've taken a break from booking things; trains, pub trips, flights. Feel like I'm constantly rushing to fill the diary.
Also found the time to do some beer writing on the ever reliable subject of pubs in London πΊ
One of the funniest things in urbanism is the constant desire to create "our cities high line" instead of something novel and contextual.
The high line works because its in manhattan folks, not because it was just any random elevated structure.

25 discs?! That's a lot of Load!!

A metal yellow arrow pointing right, nailed to a tree
A metal yellow arrow pointing up nailed to a telephone pole
I've been feeling pretty grotty for weeks so this weekend cleared the diary, slept in, got back on iron tablets and cut out the booze. Unsurprisingly I've got pep back in my step.
Had a great morning run getting lost on the Leeds footpath network which is marked out with these yellow arrows.
A nerdy Simpsons guy answering the phone
I had a vague memory of someone in The Simpsons saying "Yes I'm interested, very interested" and it was someone who looks not unlike me. It's a sign, this is my calling...

#InternationalWomensDay
Inter national womens day and the David Lammy mob are too much for me. I m done. By twitter
Happy International Women's Day. It's seven years since Jim Davidson couldn't find the apostrophe on his keyboard and didn't know how to spell "international" or "bye".
Is it a regular thing? I wouldn't mind having a go at this some time.
That's living a good life! What an iconic ceiling as well.
Congratulations! And what a great concept for a run.

My sourdough is starting to come along nicely, I've never had a dough jiggle like this before even with yeast π
This song by @backxwash.bsky.social has more listeners than my usual recommendations, but it's just too good (and appropriate for the theme) to not mention.

I've been loving it all afternoon π€
Happy #BandcampFriday! Came to get the @eveale.bsky.social album and ended upmwiyh the @hypaethralrecords.com discography as well. Made my week.
Once again, it's #BandcampFriday and I have some recommendations for you!
The theme this time: "Break what tries to break you!"
Songs and albums that are not afraid to speak truth to power and sound good while doing it!
Have a listen, enjoy and maybe pick a thing or two for yourself!
It was nice while it lasted...

An ice cream van in an urban park
Ice cream vans have returned to Bin Park. Spring is here.
βRestoring a culture of street playβ is βa daunting and perhaps impossible-sounding task. But itβs one that would meaningfully improve the well-being of children, of parents, of every person on the street.β - @theatlantic.com

Weβre never going to stop hearing about the Osbournes are we?
Amazing, especially photo 36.
A boiled egg devoid of shell but also brown, held between my thumb and forefinger
Iranian brown eggs as a bar snack at last!*
*Not really, but eggs pickled on barrel aged porter with sour cherries is a pretty Iranian taste profile
This is why I joined them as well π

A pint of stout by a canal
Ah these things happen, only travelled 300km to go for a pint.
