I got that warning too. Looking forward to this one, though, thanks.

Not seeing a thing in Toronto thanks to the fog.
Got my ticket for April 25 at the Concert Hall
Spectacular!
Bookends, very suitable.
A large pool of meltwater has formed on a patio surrounded by snowbanks.
Enjoying a sunny day by the lake
Oh, the humanity.
There was a man who had a clock,
His name was Matthew Mears,
And every day he wound that clock
For eight-and-twenty years.
And then one day he found that clock
An eight-day clock to be,
And a madder man than Matthew Mears
You would not wish to see.

It's the odour of sanctity.
An imprint of a bird's wing in the snow
Time cannot break the bird's wing from the bird.
Bird and wing together
Go down, one feather. - Edna St. Vincent Millay
My favourite Far Side. I had this one displayed on my fridge for years.
A lot of bird-prints in snow
Maybe they're after my birds.
Time's funny that way ๐
Sun shining through a board fence onto snow makes a pattern resembling the spine and ribs of a giant creature
Hebra great skeleton #zelda
A fluffy brown tabby glances sideways at you
Dove wonders how y'all are doing #caturday
A little sweetness in these stressful times
Wooden fences frame the back corner of a snowy garden. Bare shrubs and stems rise through the snow, which is dappled with sunlight shining through lattice and boards.
Striped and spotted snow
The plexiglas angle threw me, I'll admit.
For that was the winter we listened to Enya,
Wrote verses to hearten the coming millenia,
Drank chocolate and wine and burned candles all night,
While we waited for spring, and the green, and the light.
When I had to do that, I made sure I could visit at a time the house would be empty, and went room to room (sometimes literally cupboard to cupboard) saying goodbye. The house is always available to me in my memories!
Old favourite playing in my head a lot lately: "My mother moved the furniture when she no longer moved the man... She painted walls, painted smiles / checked herself in the mirror one more time... she wanted to be a different person / she sat down finally and he walked away. He walked away."
I'm so sorry.
I keep opening the windows lately "for fresh air." I think I keep hoping that air will be warm and floral. Enough winter already.
I don't see how this could possibly fail.
Ah well. ๐
