The light in Scotland at this time of night near the summer solstice never fails to amaze me. Photo taken at 11.30pm and the light is stronger than any darkness you may find hidden under trees. It takes my breath away. There is nowhere better until the nights begin to draw in.

I’m 3 days in to no Facebook and Instagram. I feel less conflicted, less on alert. Less worried. I haven’t been endlessly scrolling, even on here or Pinterest. I’ve read. I’ve drawn. I’ve watched some good drama. I’ve sat and enjoyed the silence. Molly is flat out chilled.

On Friday, I handed in my trade order for Perth Museum and Perth Art Gallery after a mammoth 6 weeks of pretty much non stop work. It was a relief to get it done. Then I packed and sorted the studio space as I’ve come away to the caravan for month, on the west coast of Scotland. Peace and quiet ❤️
Good morning from a finally dry if slightly cool Rosneath! I was a bit of an eejit yesterday and left my stitching bag up at home……..so the molls and I will be going to meet Alan half way for lunch. At least we’ll see our love and hopefully he’ll be here to stay at the end of the week! ❤️

In December I recorded for BBC television. It’s known as an ident which are the BBC’s version of adverts but as they aren’t allowed to promote other businesses, this is what they do instead. Molly and I loved doing it. I’ve still to actually see the video, but this was a screen shot a friend took :)

No matter how much sorting I do. Tidying my desk. Clearing up. Within 30 mins, it’s always a disaster. But in that disaster is a DEEP satisfaction for what is being made and created. I love it.

We are day tripping again. Partly so I can deliver some commissions but also so we can get Molly on to the beach again as she loves the beach! Chasing her ball. She met a beautiful Staffie on the beach at Arbroath who stole her ball but was so super friendly and a beautiful colour.
Molly decided she’d had enough walking for one day so took her rope, dropped it on the step and decided that this was the house she wanted in to. When I said no, she went straight to the next door 😂 She brings so much joy ❤️

I think people say this, because they try to understand the unthinkable. That some people are abusers and it can be for little to no reason, not because they were abused themselves. I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I know how devastating it is ❤️
A lovely wee trip to Edinburgh today. Leith Friendly Crafters. Jonathon’s 70th birthday celebration. Walks at Porty. Deliveries of Bothies. Shopping for picture frames. A work day with plenty of personal time.

I only wear 100% natural mollyester for my accessories. No animals were harmed in the making of my accessories. 100% vegan. Au Natural (awe man! I loved that shop when it was around!!) Come in a variety of colours and gradients, ours is shades of honey.
Just a man with his pets. This is my wee family. I’ve been following what’s happening on Meta and I am getting in to the routine to post here first before I go anywhere near insta and Facebook. It is dehumanising what these socials are doing and I just can’t watch it now.

I’ve got to get off Meta. This has to be the beginning of the end for me. It should be the end for all of us. We shouldn’t be putting up with this crap. I’ve got to remember there are other places to post and grow my online presence and it sure as hell isn’t Meta any more.
