Early version of the portrait- shows a bit of process and some of changes that occurred as the season went on. This early block-in version is without jacket and not cropped.
Final version of the self-portrait from a mirror in the garden. This went late into the fall. The jacket helped with the cold mornings but, also I think it works better in the composition. I like that this took several unexpected turns as it developed. #pleinair #painting #art #portrait #landscape
