Another #BandcampFriday just after I added 2 more songs to this noisy folk collection (hopefully 1 more to come). Up to 10 now! patientwhales.bandcamp.com
My Bandcamp cart is very overstuffed after #RPMchallenge, so today could be expensive, but there's always so much great new music in March #BandcampFriday
Had fun seeing what I could make with nothing but white noise fed into the Chase Bliss Lost + Found pedal. A new series, maybe?

And this one came together last week for this Year's #RPMchallenge. Seemed like a fitting album closer (though I still want to sneak one more track before it at some point soon). Another wistful, folky ditty that devolves into layers of ambience patientwhales.bandcamp.com/track/nowher...
Two more tracks added to the (still-growing) Patient Whales collection on Bandcamp. This one was written eons ago and initially performed live as Dog Is Blue with my wife, but I finally recorded it solo. The screamed backups for super fun to record patientwhales.bandcamp.com/track/back-t...
Feeling good about 2 more Patient Whales tunes I'm finishing up for this year's #RPMchallenge, then I hope to add 1 more song next month and call that album finished. The next goal would be to try and merge some of that folkiness into the Bay Mud synthiness and see what happens
Just got back from a big trip, so that inspired me to take a look at my favourite travel gear for music making on the go youtu.be/uSHQVLuSlWA
Finally got on the Count To 5 bandwagon. Having a lot of fun with this classic, like moving between all 3 modes with the same loop in this experimental jam. Anyone else got one? youtu.be/4h3r6TENu0E
My cart for #bandampfriday is filling up already! If you're looking for something unique for your collection, here's where I'm at in various forms:

patientwhales.bandcamp.com - Ambient Folk
lordplunder.bandcamp.com - Supervillain Crooner
I appreciate you listening!
In advanced of #BandcampFriday, I added another new folky track to the almost-complete Patient Whales album. Listen close for the layers of MIDI guitar under the real thing:

Just realized I hadn't subscribed yet! Fixed that
Got to be part of a fun and challenging one-night art event recently that had me doing a live ambient soundtrack using only phone notification sounds. Super fun in the end! youtu.be/dnjBLuF_YTQ?...
With another annual #RPMChallenge about to begin, it seemed like a good time to re-share these totally non-sarcastic words of wisdom: youtu.be/FgUNPQON6RM
Did you know MIDI can randomize the effect selection of the Chase Bliss Lost + Found? Super fun to automate MIDI parameters via the Deluge (which is also providing a jam for the L+F to process) youtu.be/g34eqyKSh6g
That's the dream! Ha
That's a good approach! I should try more small releases and genre-morphing under the same project
Thanks! Yeah, the attack really separates it from a regular guitar-like sound. Super fun
Enjoying the variety so far! I always feel I have to keep different projects separate, which gets messy (so many Bandcamps. Ha) and appreciate that you blend genres from release to release
Oh nice! Will dig in. Thanks for sharing
Oh great! Small world. Ha
Do you still make music? I saw poetry on your page, which is something I've not delved much into (aside from lyric writing)

Thanks! It's been fun experimenting with all the MIDI guitar stuff. I come from a folky background, so it's a nice way to merge things with synth ambience
@mohaynow.com this video experiment was the inspiration (including the melody), but imagine a folky song over top. Ha youtu.be/EhpSJuH41Us?...
Not yet, but it's coming together more folky than I described initially (MIDI guitar synth arps are background layers). Will be added to this growing collection next week, I hope! patientwhales.bandcamp.com
Do you mean in terms of my computer? I'm just using an old PC laptop (but works well for my recording needs). The overall question was more of a joke, as I'm having too much fun with MIDI guitar at the moment and want to add it to everything
Infinite MIDI guitar arps does sound like the way to go
I've been obsessing over playing the Reface CP electric piano sounds via guitar (with a MIDI pickup), so here we are. A bit of ragebait, a bit of fun (also I'm actually in this one here and there)

There are no limits to how many MIDI guitar arp tracks a guy can use on a folk recording, right? Asking for a...me
