I don't like that I'm watching snow falling outside and thinking, wow that'll take a lot to render.

The problem IS their actions.
I didnβt have access to WiFi on the plane and got more work done in three hours than I ever have in my entire life. I will learn nothing from this.
I've long supported an income tax that gets repaid through your PFD. That way, you only pay if you're not a resident.
JKT being the Mamdani of Alaska would get my vote.
Nobody ever asks how is pie.
To paraphrase: "Nobody expects the Department of Homeland Security. Our chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear. Our two weapons are fear and surprise. And an almost fanatical devotion to Donald Trump. I'll come in again."

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. Itβs dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Screenshot of an X.com post by The Associated Press (@AP) stating that dozens of immigrant families protested for better treatment behind fences at a Texas detention facility, where a 5-year-old Ecuadorian boy and his father were sent after being detained in Minnesota. Below is a video thumbnail showing a crowd gathered outdoors along a fenced walkway; many people wear bright blue or red outerwear, and some hold signs.
After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.
Just looking at the picture, and a lot of other things I've seen lately: Why. Are. Republicans. All. So. Goofy. Looking??? My first thought was that this was a still from a satire sketch.
βLots of oil up there LOTS and weβre going to free it from the corrupt dictatorship that controls it now,β said President Trump.
Seriously.
Impeach and Remove.
No fucking joke.
Starting a war without Congressional Approval is impeachable.
Remove the MF with declining health.
Heβs trying to destroy the world just because heβs dying.
Remove him.
Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.
I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.

You'll need to build a Mausoleum
Update on previous post: I rescued my snow shovel from the shed and put it in my car so I'll always have it on hand. Now my car is buried under three feet of snow.
Was that -40 Celsius or Fahrenheit?
Be the voracious gobbling machine you want to see in the world.
My beard has grown longer than I like it, but it's too cold outside to trim it down. I'm unironically growing it out.
The garden hose certainly won't cut it.
The problem is that the shed with my snow shovel is buried under three feet of snow.
Something broke and instead of buying a new one, I glued it back together. Take that, capitalism.
I don't usually "get" the daily poem from the Poetry Foundation as much as I try, but today's was beautiful. www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazi...
Why are republicans SO WEIRD?
Did Donald Trump just stupid his way into socialism? @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social
There aren't many things that can be done to inconvenience the rich that doesn't inconvenience everyone else. Going after private jets would probably be the best, and most popular way to fight back. I just hope there's an administration someday that's actually on the side of the people.
I didn't know grounding private planes specifically was a power the executive branch had, but apparently it does, so that's something that a future progressive administration could use to fight back when the oligarchs try to destroy the social safety net. If we ever get there.
The gop had leverage in the shutdown fight by trying to end snap benefits and literally starve out Americans until the Dems caved. Interestingly, it ended just as private jets were about to be grounded. That's leverage a future progressive POTUS can use in a future fight against the wealthy.
In more "it's not a good look" news, the cave-in happened just as the rich were about to be inconvenienced.
