A folk logic about it is starting to develop. People may not understand the monopolies and geopolitics of renewable energy at a gradual level. But they can see data centers, hear data centers, and read their electric bill statements. They are angry.
"If you want to know who will ultimately pay in this scenario, just look in the mirror. Even as your home-insurance rates rise, so will your taxes. All of this will drive down property values, especially in the places most at-risk from climate disasters. And that will hurt muni finances even more."
I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a big Carl Sagan fan but I'm super dismayed out how many people these days seem to think that Nuclear Weapons are fine. And not, you know, a completely insane way for us all to live.
