Hahahahaha good f’ing luck with that.

So, according to Oregon Democrats: Safe Routes to School BAD, freeway widening GOOD, tax breaks for billionaires GOOD. With democrats like these, who needs republicans??
The wrong leader died today.
JFC.
I see Mark Meek was Mark Meekin’
This is great to see but also doesn’t seem to have the same type of daily/monthly fare cap that TriMet offers, which is disappointing. As a visitor to Seattle, I’ll probably still mostly use an orca card for the day pass, but on days I’ll only ride once I may use tap to pay instead
Visiting from Portland this weekend and the frequency improvement today was extremely noticeable
Zimmerman is such a scummy sleazeball, and I can’t wait to do all that I can to help him get voted out of office.
Ahh, Green Day didn’t say THE LINE. Disappointing.
“Oregon Republicans break the law”. There, I fixed it for you.
ODOT execs probably dancing in their offices this week with how the Portland Housing Bureau is drawing all the incompetence/mismanagement attention away!
When I was in SF, Waymo prices were similar to Uber/Lyft (or sometimes a touch more expensive). I just don’t see them as likely to draw all that many more passengers from transit than ride hailing already has.
This is exactly my thinking. I think of how many human drivers (very much including Uber/Lyft drivers) park blocking bike lanes and bus lanes, drive on the MAX tracks, block crosswalks, etc. And of course seriously injuring or killing people.
I hate to agree with Chris Dudley, but he’s right. The argument for public subsidy basically boils down to “Won’t someone think of the poor billionaire?”
I live near there and they are absolutely the worst neighbors

Does anybody need any extra paper to pick up after their dogs? 🤢
Fuck the feds. Fuck the Trump administration.
Hah, I was gonna say the architect was inspired by the Lego tower his kid had made the night before the big presentation to the client.
Replace 1000 Uber/Lyft rides with AV, and you can pretty much guarantee a safer street environment. To use the example in the article, a human driver would much more likely have been driving faster to begin with, and been much less likely to have braked quickly enough to prevent serious injury
I’m a Waymo/AV fan, and if they replace human drivers they have a lot of potential to improve safety on our streets. That said, if/when they do come to Portland I hope there is a strong regulatory approach to address both known issues and new issues that will inevitably come up.
Yeah I think I’d pass on that. However, if you ever get a chance, the bag from The Brewers Bread is one of my favorites I’ve gotten in Portland. Sells out quick though, and doesn’t give you a ton of advance notice before pickup.
Oregon needs more housing.
That’s good to hear. Hopefully she takes it to heart and starts pushing harder to make stuff happen instead of trying to tear stuff out!
Can he tell this to his transportation director?
Waiting for the same folks who put the flag at half mast for Charlie Kirk to do the same for Alex Pretti.
That 100% happened to me when I moved here. I don’t THINK I have profound IQ loss from the fluoride 🤷
Public parks should not be off leash dog parks. I think it’s fine to have a fenced off area for off-leash (like The Fields Park) but at least Couch Park does not have that as far as I can remember; not sure about the others. Too many bad dog owners can’t or won’t control their animals in public
It’s my brand of choice as well and it is definitely harder to find, but not impossible. I weirdly forget my toothpaste like every time I go to Seattle, so I have like 6 tubes right now from buying them so often from QFC up there.
Super relatable
