Today’s vinyl treasure: β€œLee Konitz Plays With the Gerry Mulligan Quartet” (a.k.a. β€œKonitz Meets Mulligan”). I had this on CD as a middle schooler and knew every solo, every arrangement by heart. Incredible group interplay.

We had an abundance of Genny Cream Ale in school and didn’t realize how blessed we were! I like this label, too.

windows pcs are generally for casual users who mostly use it for web browsing and maybe a little gaming. linux is nearly identical except there's no keyboard. macs are for hardcore experts and professionals who take on the toughest tasks, such as drawing three-dimensional rectangles and squares

Hey! Scholars! If you're using someone's work in your class, sometimes it's nice to email them and tell them, because then they might feel good about their research instead of entirely crushed by the academic humanities' ongoing descent into the grave

Funyuns are so nasty. It’s going to be hard to finish this entire bag of them.

No obvious hallucinations but maybe some outdated information. I also tried to use it to comparison shop for cars, with horrible results. None of the (basic) math was usable.

I’ve asked ChatGPT to compile venues within a certain radius of somewhere, especially when looking for more eclectic places (β€œvenues with ambient music nights near Columbus”). Basically using it like a search engine to do music biz tasks beyond my bandwidth. It worked, I guess.
