@chicagocta.bsky.social I tried to tap to pay at your new tappy thing at the Clinton Green line stop, but instead of charging my ventra card and admitting me through the turnstiles, it charged my credit card and then didn't admit me through the turnstiles. Please fix.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox: β€œSocial media is a cancer right now. I would encourage you all to log off, be with your family, and touch grass.”

It seems strange that nowhere in the article did it say whether a bus exists, nor questioned whether the problem could be solved by having such a bus or having more kids take the bus. That's why I asked.

Do we not have school buses to take kids to/from school anymore?

If you're going to be so bull-headed as to take the @chicagocta.bsky.social from Lakeview to the airport, you better make sure to pee before you leave.

Maybe the problem with the post office is that for every one piece of "useful" mail they deliver, there are five pieces of loss-making direct mail which goes directly into the trash?

The problem is public transit is awful, even at its best in the USA. Infrequent, unreliable, slow, revoltingly filthy.

@mattweiss.me hey Matt I'm funemployed next week. I wanted to find some new places to explore on foot. If you have a fresh idea πŸ’‘ on places to go I'd be chuffed to hear!

Another good reason is that you will never be as productive with Spark as you are with the SQL columnar analytic databases. You need complicated logic not available? Drop to a map-only job in Spark/Beam/whatever and load the result back to your SQL engine.
