The current coverage has highlights something farmers have known for years - Farming is a sector that has been working on wafer thin margins for years. It could be argued that any one of the budget changes would have been the straw that breaks the camels back.

In APR discussions it’s crucial we don’t loose sight of the other serious challenges in the budget including the speeding up of BPS phase out, real terms cuts to the agri budget cuts as well as the changes that affect all businesses including agriculture such as employers NI etc

Before heading to London I’ll make sure everyone is fed and watered. Glad we bought them inside yesterday before this mornings snow
