Image a crowd of people. A woman stands towards the front holding a sign that says sex work is work.
it's been 50 years since that day, and the fight for sex worker rights is still going strong. We still fight for social acceptance, decriminalization and the right to work safely.
No more raids.
No more arrests.
No more stigma.
No more bad laws.
Because sex work is work.

No bad whores, just bad laws.
@swopbehindbars
On June 2nd, 1975, 100 sex workers gathered at the Saint-Nizier Church in Lyon, France. They demanded an end stigma, criminal penalties and police harassment.
They hung a banner which read ‘Our children don’t want their mothers to go to jail’
That was when International Sex workers' Day started.

Generative AI is melting our only planet.
Don’t use it.
ChatGPT wastes 10x the amount of water as Google.
And last year, Google was in talks to purchase 8 nuclear reactors in order to power their own AI.
This is not sustainable.
Stop using it today. It’s literal Earth Day.

The public really needs to understand this. Every university system in the world rests on public funding, there has never been an alternative model at any time in history.
We have universities for literally the same reason that we have roads and armies.

PM announces extra £75m to tackle people smuggling
Sir Keir Starmer wants to reset the UK's approach to border security, after ditching the Rwanda plan.
While talking about a "black hole in public finances" Starmer manages to find £150million to rehash an already demonstrably failed policy which embeds the criminalisation, and hostility towards, people seeking safety. This is a PR stunt not a policy.
