I thought the same thing about it being a beautiful companion piece.

I really did love everything, but two surprises were how much I learned about Stein (Wade’s research & perspective are fabulous) & how much I loved Josephine Rowe’s little gem. I need to read more by her!

Here are the books I finished in February. I recommitted to reading 1hr each morning before starting work & it was just the reset I needed. Bessette & Sarton were both rereads. 4 are from the @usrofc.bsky.social longlist. I loved the entire stack! #AContinuation #SundaySarton #NYRBWomen26

It is a mix! πŸ˜‚ A couple were inspired by recent books & several were inspired by recent showings at our local arthouse cinemas. Have you seen A MAN AND A WOMAN? (I can’t remember if I asked you that.)

Writing . . . is my lifesaver when the water of the river or the sea tries to drag me under. What matters is what we write: that is what we are, not some puppet made up by those who talk and enclose us in a prison so different from our dreams.

πŸ’› I find that lists & muted words are imperative to keeping my feed mostly filled w/books, art & film. It's definitely quieter, but I also think that's the nature of our social media groups these days & the absence of algorithms which may have fostered more engagement but were also fraught w/issues.
