Scientists often look at the 2d shapes of bat wings but her work shows it’s critical to consider the 3d shape while in flight.

NIH Grants Fueled $95 Billion In FY 2024 Economic Activity, Finds New Report National Institutes of Health grants generated almost $95 billion in economic activity nationwide in FY 2024 according to a new report by United for Medical Research.

NIH funding had a 156% basic annual return in 2024 (ie not taking into account any previous and/or future investments and/or returns). I’m no finance expert but it seems crazy that we’re all going to have that thrown away cause some people think public schools want to turn kids into transgender mice
