Might be the first time I ever agreed with a Nintendo lawsuit.

A retro gaming geek that dives into the magic of retro gaming from the 70's, 80's and 90's (and maybe some early '00's when necessary). Every game has a story. https://www.retrogaminggeek.com
Might be the first time I ever agreed with a Nintendo lawsuit.
Goldeneye physics were on point.
Super Monkey Ball FTW!
A key step is buying a 3D printer so you a just start printing all of the miniatures and dice holders and towers you can think of. π
At the very least. Otherwise that place is a gigantic fire hazard. :-\
Nice! That place is HUGE. I wonder what the monthly electric bill is for a place like that...
ooOOOooo...Is that the standup version?
Nothing to see here other than Sega's M2 board that was created with the help of GE Aerospace/Lockheed Martin and powered what is arguably the greatest racing game of all time: Daytona USA. Move along, move along.

This picture is so sad...
Looks like cosplay.
So sad to hear of Dan Simmons' passing. The Hyperion Cantos are my favorite book series of all time. Dan was an incredible story teller and educator. We lost one of the great ones.
This is the era of #Sega that defined me as a gamer. I had a Saturn at home with most of these games and the arcade in the movie theatre near me had Daytona and House of the Dead. It was such a great time to be a young gamer.

@thegamersician.com As you get more into D&D, just remember that this is your DM's secret weapon.
A great DM makes the game so much better.
Looking forward to hearing how it went! It can be a lot at first but once you start getting the mechanics of combat and skill checks it is a blast to play. Hopefully youβve got a good DM.
One of the most iconic lines ever said at E3. Steve Race won that generation of consoles by just saying "299." (And by having the PS1 focused on 3D from the get-go.)
Released February 24, 2017, Hollow Knight isn't quite a retro game yet, but it is a great Metroidvania-style game. Happy birthday, Hollow Knight!
This is still my favorite fighting game! Hornet was such an amazing addition. :D
Basically my family's setup when I was 7.
Happy 40th anniversary to the Legend of Zelda, released on February 21, 1986!
Got both sides of the Daytona USA machine back together. (May be the first time theyβve been fully assembled in over a decade or two.) I still have some work to do to get cab 1 working properly, but itβs getting close! Saved them from being scrapped.

Hell yeah!
This is terribly disappointing.
Spent the whole day assembling this back together after doing a full tear down and cleaning/repair. Added a 32β curved LCD to match the other twin cab. Just some final touches to go!
I'm knee deep in this Daytona USA twin cab restore. First one is done, but now I'm working on the second cabinet which has all original parts. Cleaned up the racing wheel panel and had to do a bunch of cleaning on the gear shift. It's coming along!
I really wish I still had my big blue tray of floppies. So many memories were saved on those, including a VBasic game I made that was actually kind of fun.
I mean, it could just be nostalgia talking, but I think they all took a step backwards. The originals had so much more charm.
On Friday we lost one of the greatest minds in gaming. The godfather of Sega's consoles. From Genesis through Dreamcast, he led R&D for Sega and took on the mighty Nintendo in the 90's.
Congrats and well deserved!
My travel game lately has been New Super Mario Bros. After months of on and off gameplay I finally finished it. I beat it on the DS long ago and found it just as fun the second time around.
