The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
The man who was shot and killed by a federal officer during an immigration operation in Minneapolis has been identified as 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an intensive care unit nurse.
Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.
Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. Itβs a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.
Something is deeply wrong if we, as a society, cannot agree that an administration that snatches up children, uses them as bait to hunt down others, is morally repulsive.
They are never, ever going to win in Minnesota.
