Dutch media has now picked up on the fact that the police has stopped using predictive policing software CAS after more than 10 years and no scientific evidence it worked to prevent crime.
The fact that there is too little evidence that predictive policing works and the social and ethical risks the systems raise, is something I have been arguing for in my publications for more than 10 years. Happy to see that this is finally recognised in NL!
