Some six-pounders finished up this afternoon.
DEI is the gop's way of saying the N word
There are more cases of measles in Texas than trans college athletes in the entire country.
Guess what they're focused on.
Jars this afternoon, four and six pounders
These roundy pitchers are more practical than the tall skinny ones, but not as challenging to throw.
A top view of about 30 unglazed coffee cups in a large electric kiln.
Forty cups per layer, two more layers to go. #potting
Cool pot, totally tatooed
Yellow and red plastic sand in a large aluminum pan crosscut by a meandering stream forming a delta.
These colors are a punch in the eye, but still....
I like coffee enough that I don't want to substitute anything for it
And they're tasty when young
A 10 inch tall pitcher with a narrow foot and narrow neck. There is a bit of a belly in the lower third of the body. The glaze is multi colored from the flame pattern in the wood burning kiln. The colors are gray, black, brown, and green.
It's pitcher-making time so I've been looking at some older ones and thinking about handle placement.
Dirty South Roubaix gravel race in Alto Pass this morning had over 600 riders
The bottom of the handle should attach about a quarter inch lower.
One time Ken Ferguson said "There's more art in the ass of that camel than in the whole Kansas City Art institute!"
Four pound fatties. A subtle transition between the belly and the neck is better. I only had to throw four to start to understand that.
Two orange Echo brand chainsaws on a countertop.
One chainsaw good.....
A small cluster of Jonquils on a slope with dried leaves and bald cypress needles.
They're back! (Along with the spring peepers and a thunderstorm this evening)
Erma gerd, this is fantastic beer. Not just really good, but fantastic.
Une AnΓ©e brewery in Niles, IL.
I finished the day with some 2.5 pound pitchers. They're all the same clay but the late afternoon light is magic.
That's a Gooder.
Thanks for sharing this. I'll put it in the queue of books to read.
Three small porcelain bowls with lids for brewing Chinese tea. They aren't fired yet.
Oh, I also made some Gaiwans.
Whozat?
I'd love to see your starters, thank you! (From this former Winnipeger)
That's my governor!
Proud to stand with the LGBTQ+ community as an ally in the fight.
I brew a lot of tea with Yixing pots which inspired me to make some little porcelain teapots.
Insta was so good for sharing images it was a natural place for artists to gather. Bsky is a xitter copy, just as text heavy. I don't know where to go see cool pots and what potter friends are up to. Insta has turned into a tickity toc clone, sadly.
