Lots of white queer people that do this pinkwash their own identity they say they are progressive/inclusive but they remain silent on issues that do not directly affect them and that their whiteness protects/shields them from - such behaviour isn't inclusive, these people are unsafe people for poc
In their desire to maintain the comfort that remaining blissfully ignorant on these issues gives them, they put their whiteness before their queerness and become unsafe people for queer poc and poc in general.
Some thoughts Iβve had on intersectionality lately:
white queer people who are silent on Palestine and other similar issues/ignore such issues fall in line with white supremacy/fascism more than their queerness challenges it.
