This go around I told it what the alt text should be. It’s not the biggest lift. Honestly the cumbersome part is getting the alt text and then navigating through 4 layers of UI just to add the text. And then doing that for any other place I post. So I might not even do the image analysis.
This is great. Got OpenClaw to post this AND it successfully added the alt text. Sent it the text to post and gave it the image and alt text via iMessage and it did the rest

Among the terrors of programming with AI is that it feels like you have the power to do anything, and therefore, you must do everything. A danger of exponential FOMO, and burnout.
The first time it didn’t work for me. Then I opened iMessage and had default Apple things pop up. Then I think I restarted onboarding from a clean slate. It’s a bit of a blur, because getting the thing setup just was not simple.

Vigilantly. I’m prepared to lose the social networks. I’ll be monitoring my traffic to see whether the claw gets tricked into promoting a scam, and so forth. So, it’s a risk for sure. I have limited token budgets and all that. But yeah, still Wild West.
I’m so sorry but it’s OpenClaw. Made my own skills for it, trying to be as security conscious as this insanity allows, but yeah, experimenting with OpenClaw, just so that I can post and add alt text across multiple places (this was all written by me, BTW, and I don’t want it to be writing any posts)

A year ago I set an ambitious goal: Publish on Step Into Vision every day of 2025. Today I reached that goal! It has been an enormous amount of work, but it has been worth every second. I'm proud of what I've accomplished, but I know there is a lot of work ahead. 2026 is going to be awesome!
