i'll bet the lady who taught the class was a super cool geek but kid me just thought she was aloof. and touch typing lessons were boring for everyone concerned.

that was where i learned that there were 8 bits in a byte! it would be a long time before that information was meaningful to me, though

for me it was the computer lab in first grade. "lab" being the room where they stuck these weird machines the kids were supposed to learn about. they had amber monochrome displays, and the OS was just a numbered menu of a limited selection of software with onerous licensing restrictions.

Searching within a profile definitely needs to include image alt text. Multiple times I have searched my profile for media in a post I made, where I can't find what I am looking for because the keyword is in the alt text.
