Community pressure got them home. So many more do not have that support.

Morrison said Naqvi walked walked and hitchhiked to a hotel after being released from the detention center in WI.
Naqvi's sister Sarah Afzal also said the WI facility denied she was ever held there.
(I was told the same thing when I called the WI facility in the wee hours of Saturday morning.)
Naqvi's attorney Robert Held said he has been in contact with federal immigration officials, and has yet to get a straight answer on exactly what happened to Naqvi and her colleagues.
Naqvi's sister also spoke, saying that she is still trying to process what happened to her. It doesn't appear Naqvi is going to speak herself.
Morrison emphasized that federal immigration agents lied, repeatedly changing their story about Naqvi and her colleagues' status. He added she was released to the street in Wisconsin and that as of right now, she still has not gotten her passport back.
The presser started moments ago. First speaker was Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison, a family friend of Naqvi's.
He gives a timeline of Naqvi's ordeal, saying he believes she and the others were moved from Broadview on Friday night after texts sent to her phone were read but not responed to.
