Over three powerful days, Pacific Climate Warriors united across the region and diaspora to draw the line at 1.5°C.
Our message was clear: 1.5°C is not just a number, it’s a lifeline. To hold the line, we need world leaders to end fossil fuel expansion and commit to real climate leadership.
To stay below 1.5°C, we must end fossil fuel extraction and consumption, and demand real climate leadership, especially from high-emitting countries.
Fiji draws the line because beyond 1.5, our islands face catastrophe. For our people, our cultures, and our futures, we draw the line to survive.
Youth and local leaders in Kiribati gathered to plant mangrove seedlings along a vulnerable coastline, a living line against erosion and climate collapse. This act of care and cultural strength shows why we draw the line at 1.5°C: to protect our homes, our heritage, and our future.

This September, movements worldwide will unite under the banner Draw the Line. Just weeks before COP30, we’re mobilising for our futures, our people, and our islands.
The delegation carried songs, statements, and ancestral knowledge, reminding leaders: a livable planet cannot include continued fossil fuel extraction.
Yesterday in Canberra, a Pacific delegation joined First Nations Elders, Noqu Vanua Youth, and diaspora allies to call on the Albanese government to deliver a Climate Plan that honours the 1.5°C threshold.
