Considering the SWP's history of rape apologists and sex pests among its members it definitely knows what a woman is.
Oh really?
It’s nuts! Although you probably won’t see this as I’ve been flagged as intolerant. Which is nice.
The ruling determines what the law IS and, indeed, what it has always BEEN.
'Placards depicted us hung from gallows with the slogan: ‘the only good TERF is a dead one’. Others exhorted us to ‘suck trans dick’. ‘Why not try a DIY lobotomy’, asked one, next to an image of someone stabbing themselves in the eye.'
Male violence.

Thank you! Reciprocated.
Over on twitter I called myself Keith for a while with a face app pic of me as a man (looking uncannily like my brother!) It was interesting how differently people responded to me! Might try it here if I can be arsed.
Yes, that’s a quote from the email
I will strive to do better!
It’s ridiculous
Yep.
Apparently I’ve ‘repeatedly exhibited behavior that violates community guidelines’. I *think* that translates as ‘people have repeatedly reported you for expressing an opinion on sex and gender they don’t like.’ 🤷♀️
Blimey!
Turns out, most likely, that the "trans allies" are targeting my account because I've the cheek to be a woman with political opinions. I've appealed to moderation.bsky.app and hope this and the general abuse will end soon. Otherwise it's no better than Elon's X.
Women's rights are human rights!
Remarkable that @fawcettsociety.bsky.social appear to have had nothing to say about the vandalism of the statue of Millicent Fawcett. Why so quiet?
I was somewhat shocked that Lord Sumption gave bad legal advice on single sex exceptions in Equality Act. I thought he had a massive brain
@fawcettsociety.bsky.social Hello. Have you anything to say about last week's ruling by the UK Supreme Court in the case of For Women Scotland vs the Scottish Ministers?
I wrote this thread, on what to do with male prisoners who identify as or claim to be women, on the other place in 2018
It has aged pretty well I think

Just look at this. Seriously. Is this the voice of reason? “I hope she catches cancer and dies painfully”. This is the men talking. Jesus fucking wept. Whatever you think about this woman, the misogyny on here has to stop. It’s off the scale.
Fascinating to see so many people outraged by a legal decision that the only way a piece of anti-discrimination legislation is effective is if it is interpreted in the way that the legislators intended, rather than by those who seek to distort it. You'd expect reasonable people to be pleased.
This is embarrassing for the writer & depressing for everyone, to the extent it signals extremist activists' intention to continue to misrepresent the law rather than either accept it or make any case for changing it
The framing of this news story as being about trans women - trans identifying men - is incredibly revealing about attitudes to women.
There is widespread concern about strip searches, particularly of children
When it is conducted, male officers should not be searching female suspects. Nor should female officers be expected to search male suspects
So this is a welcome development

I'm really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward women.
We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect?
Women are human beings — and they deserve to live in dignity like anyone else.
Women and their hard-won rights matter.
Of course they do. And women deserve single sex spaces for their safety, privacy and dignity.
Somewhere in England is a woman who fled life-threatening violence & multiple brutal rapes from her male partner. She now is staying in domestic violence refuge.
The mere presence of any male triggers her into flashbacks & nightmares. Causes suicidal ideation.
But she is in a safe space, finally.
‘The plaudits this week should go to @forwomenscotland.bsky.social. The determination to hold on to sex-based rights & protections...has galvanised an extraordinary renaissance of the women’s movement in Britain.’ @susannarustin.bsky.social

Yes, it is weird. There’s so much I can’t see on here.
