I think: "Your original species is cool and valid but it is not a bird." Is completely valid. No beak no bird. At MOST you can have halfbird if you get some talons in there.

I can neither confirm nor deny that in Elementary School I ran around with a girl on the playground, pretending to touch animals and then turn into them. The first books had just come out and we hadn't read them yet, I assume, since we thought that you started to change immediately after acquiring.

I am missing 1/3rd of my books. I have literally no idea where they even could have gone. There isn't anything that got lost that I can even attribute it to. Very sad tiger.

Oh... and still go to the shelf to pull off a particular book to illustrate something or other.
"Did the yeerk use <> when talking in Jake's head? Lets go check book 6."
"Game Changer is referencing the animorphs book where Rachel turns into a squid on the cover? Oh I have that right here, look!"

I may or may not have read the entire series multiple times through at different ages.
