I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Someone had a premise for an anime posted and I asked if she was doing anything with it. She said Go for it. I wrote 2 episodes and have a full 13 episode cour outlined.
Wrote it in '22 I think. Been thinking about finishing it lately and storyboard the first episode and use it as a pitch.
