The story beverlypress.com/2025/03/man-...
I just read a story in my local paper about a car thief who used one McLaren to ram down the gate at the dealership before driving away in a different, undamaged McLaren. Has this happened in any movie or book you’ve read? Because it feels properly romance suspense-y heisty heisty.
Right? And I have a lot of material to inspire me.
Mr. H brings my dinner from the kitchen to the table.
Mr. H: Here you go.
Me: Thank you.
Cheeks: Dad is a gentleman.
Me: He is.
C: But…he is also a goofball. [to her dad] Hey! You are a Gentleman Goofball!
Treasure Planet is on our watch list!
Thank you! We did.
Movie poster of Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire, showing a stylized submarine, an underwater city and the main characters with the bespectacled nerdy hero Milo up front.
Watching Disney’s Atlantis (2001) together. The villain does something extremely villainous, especially by today’s Disney standards.
C: Mama, is it okay to say hell?
Me: Sure.
C: WHAT THE HELL?!
Right? 🦋🦋🦋
I think I need to get them. They make me smile.
Screenshot of an Etsy listing for “Moth Mending Water Soluble Visible Mending Embroidery Transfers” for $12. The photo shows colorful embroidery of stylized moths, used as patches on white sweater material.
I am trying to shop less, but will buying this help me shop less? 🧐 Water soluble transfers of moths for embroidering patches on holey sweaters. Bonus, I like that we can show off the wee perpetrators while fixing the damage they caused. Name and shame. www.etsy.com/listing/9242...
Movie poster for Star Trek Into Darkness, 2013. Shows the Enterprise starship on fire, plummeting toward a planet that appears to be earth.
I have a terrible memory for movies so I can watch the same movie again and again, sitting there like, “Ooh, this is delightful!”
I can’t imagine how fun that must have been! Just hearing the songs takes me right back. 🎸✨
A promotional photo of Gunnar and Matthew Nelson holding their guitars. They are wearing brightly colored blazers, flamboyant clothes and have dazzling long blond hair.
A Nelson song starts on the college radio station.
Me: NELSON!!!!
Cheeks: Who is Nelson?
Mr. H: A band your mama loved when she was 13.
Me: Do you want to see a photo? [pulls out phone]
Mr. H: That’s just two pictures of Darryl Hannah.
Me: [singing] “I’VE BEEN ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN…” 🎶✨🎸⚡️⛈️
Web search screenshot. The text says: “H&R Home & Roost https://homeandroost.co.uk Can Rabbits Vomit? Your Essential Guide To Rabbit Digestion No. Unlike most mammals, bunnies cannot vomit and are physically incapable of passing gas. For this reason, gas can be quite painful for your rabbit. People also ask Why do rabbits not vomit? How to induce vomiting in a rabbit?”
Rabbits can’t fart? What happens? Do they blow up like a balloon? What a cruel universe.
Ahhhh! I can’t wait! ❤️ I’m so honored that you do this, Tamara. Thank you.
Tamara’s work is amazing 🤩

A promotional image for the book "Throw Away The Key" by Taj McCoy, set for release on February 20th. The book cover is centered on a background of cherry blossoms and the Washington Monument reflected in water. Around the cover are black arrows pointing to different elements, labeling various themes and tropes of the story: "Grumpy Sunshine," "Will They/Won't They," "Forced Proximity," "Fear of Commitment," "Landlady/Tenant," "Fur Baby," and "Bookstore Romance." The text "Out Feb 20!!" appears in pink at the top of the image.
Just 10 days until THROW AWAY THE KEY is out in the world! If you miss Zora and Granny Marion, you're sure to get your fix, but Emma is the highlight of this story. I thought I'd share a little taste of the tropey goodness from this sapphic romance. Preorder: https://buff.ly/3Eq2uVe

Mr. H: Do they have Abba Zabba?
Me: No, but they have Laffy Taffy.
Mr. H: Those are gross. They make me Barfy Barfy.

Picture of text in a book. “ARMPIT APPLE: In the 19th century, rural Austrian women attended dances where they would prance with the eligible bachelors, all while keeping a slice of apple tucked into their armpit. When the music stopped, the women would remove the pheromone-soaked fruit and offer it to the man of their choice. To return the compliment, the man had to eat the apple, signaling that he enjoyed the woman's personal fragrance.”
I just read this, and I want to share it with you because this is not knowledge I can keep to myself. 🍏 From Gastro Obscura.

Honestly…I still wonder about this
She would love that! 💗🥓
Cheeks: Look, a dandelion!
Me, Wait! If you blow it, a hundred dandelions will grow on our lawn.
C: Fine. [sighs] My wishes never come true anyway.
Me: [feeling guilty] Sometimes wishes come true. [hugs her] You are my wish come true.
C: I always wish for the world to be bacon. [skips away]
