Just spent 2 days at the library extracting surnames from an English parish and boy was it tough, but it was also invaluable as I sharpened my deciphering skills and made connections that I wouldn’t have made otherwise. Also, exercised my brain!

Rubio Today: It’s false to say I said the U.S. had to attack because Israel was going to attack. That’s not what I said.

Rubio Yesterday: We knew Israel was going to strike Iran, and that would trigger attacks on U.S. forces. If we didn’t act first, Americans would suffer higher casualties.

The British 'Schindler' who saved Austrian Jews A British chaplain saved hundreds of Jews from the Nazis by baptising them as Christians to help them escape Austria, Mike Thomson reveals.

The tiny bit of genealogy I’ve done this past week, #AncestryHour, is researching abt (Anglican) Christ Church in Vienna, Austria baptizing Jews in 1938 to help them escape & trying to find their records. BBC article abt this is below. I suspect my pat. GF was baptized.

Old temperate forests are insanely rare nowadays and extremely important ecosystems lost forever once cut.
They're not just "old trees" but intricate networks of trees, fungi and all kinds of living creatures.
You CANNOT replant this!! Once it's gone it's lost FOREVER!!!

The government then cancelled its contracts with the company and has set about destroying it
